I really can't get enough of remodelling and restoring old and unworn jewellery. The further along I go in my career, the more sentimental I become about the process of bringing someone's precious piece back to life - or reimagining it altogether.
Jewellery is always connected to memories and people - it is such a privelige to be a part of sympathetically breathing new life into an old piece.
Sarah's heirloom sapphire ring was worn down to the point that the gem was at serious risk of popping out of the setting. Made in an antique 15c gold alloy, the yellow sapphire looked more light green. After a polish on the worn facets this amazing Australian sapphire came alive, with a deep golden colour. Sarah suggested we add a new 18c white gold setting to contrast with the yellow gemstone - what an absolutely stunning piece - strengthened but retaining all the charm of the original design. Alongside a diamond set Matilda ring, made by melting down a small amount of yellow gold and dotting it with some tiny diamonds.

Lisa had accumulated a lifetime of gold that was no longer worn. With enough material to make a signficant solid bangle, we also dotted diamonds and emeralds that were rescued from the old and unworn pieces.
